OpenDrift is an open source code developed at MET Norway with modules for e.g. oil spills, search and rescue and marine plastic. The figure to the right shows a 30 days simulation with OpenDrift using the module for plastic and near the Mekong estuary. The forcing ocean model is ROMS. Green symbols represent without contributions from Mekong and blue is with contributions from rivers.
